I recently enjoyed lunch at the cheesecake factory menu behind the Quakerbridge Mall in Lawrenceville, New Jersey with my partner. I’ll have to say, I was disappointed with the appearance of the restaurant, but pleased about the food, service and pricing. It’s not a bad place for couples to eat a great meal for $30, but there are some glaring issues that might be turn offs for other customers.
Let’s begin with the positives. The service was great! We had been seated immediately, and waited will no longer than 5 minutes before our waitress took our drink order. She was among the best waitresses I have ever encountered, one of the most patient, probably the most professional. It was clear that she cares about her customers’ needs. We noticed that our napkins were dirty, had crumbs on them, and our table had crumbs onto it. My wife’s bread plate had crumbs on it. Okay, that’s a poor, but it fits the discussion. The waitress apologized, immediately took away our dirty plates and napkins and replaced them with clean ones.
I ordered the Factory Burger, that is a hamburger, covered with cheddar cheese, served on the wheat loaf topped with sliced almonds. Fascinating! I have never eaten a hamburger on a wheat loaf. This is a great burger, perhaps a little too much pepper, however it was juicy, flavorful, and cooked merely the way I requested. The meal came with a tiny, tin canister of shoestring fried potatoes, that were crispy and delicious!
My spouse ordered the Skinnylicious Chicken Pasta, which is produced with Gemelli Pasta sauteed chicken breasts, fresh basil and fresh tomatoes. Warning to all customers! The chefs at The Cheesecake Factory LOVE pepper! My wife sent her food back since it was too spicy. The waitress was so patient and kind about taking the dish back and replacing it with a brand new one without any pepper. We can’t fault the chefs for that one! They will likely serve it for you without pepper should you request it like that. My partner never specified no pepper. Okay, that a person was on us! So, if you order the Skinnylicious Chicken Pasta, and you also usually are not a fan of spicy food, make sure to specifically ask for no pepper.
Incidentally, the buying price of that meal was only over $30. That was affordable! I had been a bit confused regarding who exactly was serving us. Our waitress took our order and checked on us frequently, but someone else brought our food to us. In reality, one third unknown person brought out my wife’s replacement dish. The amount of people need to be involved for 2 customers? We were speaking to a waiter and didn’t know his name. I guess I could have asked, however i am keen on the wait staff wearing name tags. None of them within the restaurant were wearing name tags. I simply think it adds a private touch for your customer.
I mentioned this earlier, nevertheless the table had crumbs on it, and our napkins had crumbs upon them. Additionally, the floor around the restaurant was filthy, the silverware had spots on it, the wait staff was dressed up in all white (uggh) as well as the greeters were dressed in all black (uggh).
The biggest issue was the menu. It’s too complicated! Pages and pages of products, wines, specials, etc. The waitress even commented on the menu’s girth. My partner has eaten at the Cheesecake Factory before, so she features a favorite item jpnvlz the menu, which she ordered in the interest of time. I felt like I had been reading a novel rather than a menu! I felt rushed as though I needed to simply hurry up and pick something. I have without doubt that everything on the menu is tasty, but also for those in a rush, it can be an issue.
Okay, to sum it, the food at Cheesecake Factory happy hour was delicious, the service was great, the pricing was reasonable, however the menu was too big and also the appearance was sloppy and unkempt.
I am not a fan of checking out or wearing someone else’s leftovers. Which had been an enormous turn off for me! That left an unsatisfactory first impression to me! It’s not something which even great food or great service can overcome, in my view. I will not rush back to The Cheesecake Factory at this particular location. I might eat there should i be in that area, having said that i will not fall out of my approach to eat there down the road.
